So…

Obviously I haven’t been updating as much as I said I would… sorry!  I’m going to try to update more, so check back soon.

Hello Fall Semester!

08 24 2007

Fall semester is finally here! Soon enough there will be cooler weather (which will be a pleasant break from the heat we’ve been having). Fall also brings parades and festivals to attend, and plenty of reasons to drink hot chocolate. Until all of the fun events start it’s time to organize my schedule, start reading (and finishing) some books, and get into the routine of things. Who would have guessed that a girl from south Florida would enjoy fall so much?

My office is in the Fellowship Hall, so stop by to say hey!

Celebrate good times, come on!

Graduation is almost here… and I’m ready for it.  No more school, internships, classes, papers, group projects, etc. I’ve learned a lot from earning this degree, both in and out of the classroom. Maybe some day I’ll write about it. But for now, my focus is on graduation!

Faithful, You are Faithful

I find it refreshing to just sit and be in God’s presence. Sometimes words aren’t even necessary, I can just sit and listen to what God is speaking to my heart. It doesn’t matter how long it’s been since I last prayed. It doesn’t matter what I’ve done, or haven’t done that I said I would. The truth is that He always wants to spend time with His children. He always wants to share His goodness with us.

How reassuring is that? That no matter what you do God will still be there. That no matter what circumstances arise, God is there. He’s there when life seems to be going well, and when it’s not going so well. He wants to know about the good days just as much as the bad days. If you can’t tell that He’s there, just ask Him to show you.

And so the blogging begins…

The summer is half way over, and it’s time to start getting ready for the fall. I’m finishing up an internship and a class, I’ll graduate, and then the fall semester will be here!

To be honest, I’ve never kept up with a blog before. My hope is to regularly update the blog, but I can’t make any promises. The current plan is to write about what I’m learning about life and God, or maybe just random thoughts that pop into my head.

I’m excited about what this next year has in store for me as an intern as well as everyone else at Wesley. I’m looking forward to meeting new people (freshman, transfer students, and older students alike) and deepening current relationships with friends. I plan on spending a lot of time with people, so come by and hang out!
